I’m a therapist in Oakland and online in California.
I’m most passionate about helping people to feel free to be who they are and to realize that they are enough.
I work with people to help them heal from the past so they can make the most of their life now. I want people to know that what they have been through does not determine who they are or what’s to come.
In particular, I have a passion for working with folks struggling in relationships, both individuals and couples.
I also help anxious young adults and college students and people experiencing work and life burnout.
Hi, I’m jamie.
How I got here
Looking back at when I was a kid, I can see that many of the adults around me did not know how to work through hard stuff with people they were close to. There was outright animosity, passive aggression, and cutting people off.
And it wasn’t just my family. I have witnessed many people struggle in close relationships especially with family members and partners, and I’ve experienced it myself.
At the same time, it is painful not to be close to people!
When we aren’t close to people or when we struggle with them, we can easily feel isolated and maybe even unloved and unloveable. That can create that awful question inside:
“What is wrong with me?”
I started studying psychology to better understand why relationships are so hard and what to do about it.
Now, as a therapist, I get to help others navigate their difficult experiences in relationships.
I help folks heal and remove hurdles so they can get more in their relationships than ever before.
My style is gentle, collaborative, and curious. The way that I work with folks is to go deep so you can experience transformation but I can also help you learn new skills to support yourself for when shit inevitably hits the fan.
If you think I may be able to help, Let’s Talk!
